Reports to: Sales Director
Location: Remote
Salary: £26-£30k + OTE (dependent on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our digital publishing company, our portfolio includes HRZone.com, TrainingZone.co.uk. We also have a growing in-person event programme including awards, networking and flagship events for our audience. Our channels are an invaluable support to vendors looking to build brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation with their target customers across HR and L&D.
Reporting to the Sales Director, you’ll be responsible for delivering the commercial results inline with HRZone and TrainingZone’s commercial targets, as well as building new business opportunities, particularly for TrainingZone.
The main focus of this role will be to generate new opportunities through actively identifying our target clients (HR and L&D Technology vendors), grow the prospect list, manage existing clients and be accountable for producing results which meet and exceed set targets.
You will work with a mixture of inbound leads, existing accounts and a target accounts list for each of the publications but the majority of your time will be attributed to identifying new opportunities with key business decision makers, through a range of self motivated activities, ie; Linkedin, networking and industry event attendance and approaching vendors directly to introduce our services.
What we’d like from you
- – Proven successful sales experience in media sales
- – Confident and clear communication, both verbal and written (proposal writing, presentations, meetings and phone sales
- – A ‘hunter’ mindset – high energy, high activity, and an expert ‘closer’ able to conduct high quality conversations with decision makers across our client landscape
- – Experience in updating and maintaining customer relationship management systems
- – Ability to develop powerful and persuasive proposals based on the marketing objectives and the business needs of potential clients
- – Ability to use digital, audience and marketing insights to open doors with new prospects and to deliver added value to existing clients
- – Ability to develop internal and external relationships
- – Exceptional planning and organisation skills
- – Good team working ethic and collaboration
Additional desirable qualities, skills and experience
- – Experience working with technology companies, particularly in delivering media, event, and market intelligence propositions is desirable.
- – Strong communication skills and an ability to forge relationships quickly.
- – Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
- – Ability to work autonomously and follow your own initiative.
- – Excellent organisational and time management skills
- – Available to travel to client meetings and events across UK
